French historian Emmanuel Todd who predicted the fall of the Soviet Union says in new book that Ukraine War is result of “West in Decline”

In his new book, French historian Emmanuel Todd analyzes the underlying causes of the global political crisis that culminated in the Ukraine War. In addition to references to geopolitics and history, he examines the role that nihilism and the disappearance of religiosity play in the West. He redefines the actors in the war: “liberal oligarchies” face an “authoritarian Russian democracy”.
