Lawyers across Canada mounting constitutional challenges to new asylum law

CBC: The challenges argue Bill C-12, which passed into law March 26, violates several sections of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms, including Section 7, which guarantees the right to life, liberty and security; and Section 15, which protects against discrimination.
