China’s universities offer Mao and Xi courses to help students nail top jobs

Financial Times: Covering the thoughts of CCP leaders from party founder Mao Zedong to market reformer Deng Xiaoping, courses offered by Peking, Renmin and other universities emphasise Xi’s own writings, with units with titles such as: “Consistently Advance the New Great Project of Party Building.” 

With party jobs seen as more stable and party loyalty a valuable asset, these courses aim to help students trying to join the workforce, either in the public or private sector, at a time when the economy is sluggish…
