The Hill Times: Carlo Dade, director of the University of Calgary’s New North America Initiative, said that the best approach for Canada is to continue to wait out the Trump administration.
“There is no pressure on us other than pressure that we create for ourselves,” he said. “The U.S. still needs Canadian inputs and co-operation with Canada.”
He said that ragging the puck put Canada in a better situation when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down tariffs levied under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act compared to countries that had made agreements with the Trump administration.
