Mathematics professor Matthias Reitzner and psychology professor Christof Kuhbandner calculated the excess mortality in Germany and Austria. In the first part of this interview, Matthias Reitzner explained the results, which he had not expected. In the third year of the pandemic, more people died in Germany than in the first and second years of the pandemic combined.
