Aya Velazquez reviews the press reporting on the RKI leaks

It has now been almost seven weeks since I leaked the minutes of the RKI crisis team, which a whistleblower passed on to me. A good time to review: What actually happened in the media in these seven weeks? Who reported everything, how and why? Were the RKI protocols discussed in the mainstream – or ignored, as some quarters claimed? I wrote a press review of the RKI leak, listing and commenting chronologically on all media articles from the last few weeks that, in my opinion, represent a notable contribution to the discourse. I took into account not only mainstream media articles, but also contributions from the so-called alternative media, as long as they were relevant and did not target people, as unfortunately happened in some cases. Also listed are selected posts from public figures on platform X – because we have to face the fact that public discourse is now also emerging on social media, especially on X.
