Can we take Mark Carney at his word, or is he Prime Minister Pants-on-Fire?

Susan Riley/The Hill Times: Pipeline politics, and economics, are complicated. The oil industry spends lavishly to bamboozle the half-informed—which is most of us. But, if anyone should be able to see through the false claims and phoney threats, it would be a prime minister whose adult life has been spent in corporate corridors. 

Instead, we have a leader whose primary concern seems to be defending the oil industry, rather than defending Canadians—those living in smaller, northern communities, and, increasingly in southern cities, too—whose lives, livelihoods, health, and habits are increasingly upended by climate change…
