Federal briefing note suggests housing investment needed to prevent foreign powers from establishing influence in Canada’s Arctic

IJF: A June 2025 briefing note prepared for a senior official in the federal housing ministry impresses the need to invest more in the Arctic — not just to address a longstanding housing shortage but to prevent foreign interests from doing it first.
