Germany’s far-right AfD praises Hungary as a ‘great role model’

During her visit to Budapest, AfD boss Alice Weidel Hungary described Hungary as a “great role model”. At a press conference with Prime Minister Viktor Orban, she found praising words for the country: “Hungary is the bulwark against illegal migration.” The country is also a role model for freedom of expression and in “rational politics” against “paternalism” by the European Union, said Weidel. She confirmed her demands to dismantle EU competencies.
