The Globe and Mail: Nearly 12 months in, the MPO, led by veteran energy executive Dawn Farrell, is evaluating a slew of multibillion-dollar proposals for the vaunted listing of “projects of national interest” – golden tickets to accelerated treatment in the regulatory process. None has the formal designation yet, but the government has expressed its intention to have four of them listed by this fall.
But the MPO is also facing criticism from the business community for a lack of transparency about how it operates, echoing a frequent rap about the Prime Minister’s style.
