Financial Times: Mercedes, a German automaker that is 20 per cent owned by Chinese groups, has been lobbying the Senate commerce committee to dilute the Connected Vehicle Security Act, which would also in effect ban the import of battery systems from China’s CATL, the world’s biggest battery maker.
