CNN: Iranian negotiators have left Doha as the Islamic Republic pauses diplomacy ahead of a multi-day funeral for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Qatar said Wednesday that the discussions through mediators between the US and Iran made “positive progress.”

Funeral preparations: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Iranians to attend the supreme leader’s funeral in “large numbers,” while the nation’s army general warned the US and Israel against launching attacks during the procession…

Iran warns tankers to use approved routes in Hormuz or face a ‘forceful response’

It isn’t immediately clear what sparked the threat from Iran. However, the US military’s Central Command put out a statement about having a meeting with officials from Mideast nations in Bahrain that said “leaders underscored their shared commitment to the free flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz.”

That appears to have been the phrase to anger Iran, which is preparing for the funeral beginning this weekend of the late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the war’s first moments in February…
