Althia Raj/Toronto Star: In Ontario especially, Conservative MPs have spent the past year fixating on House of Commons seat projections on the website 338Canada.com. They watched their ridings go from Conservative blue to toss-ups, to Liberal “leaning,” to Liberal “likely.” If an election was called today, 338Canada suggests, 34 Ontario Conservatives would likely lose their seats, nine races would be toss-ups with the Liberals, and another seven would “lean” Conservative. Only one seat in the entire province, Melissa Lantsman’s Thornhill riding, remains Conservative “likely. There is no “safe” Conservative seat on the Ontario list.
