Shachi Kurl: Albertan separatism has left Pierre Poilievre stuck between rock and hard place

Shachi Kurl/Toronto Star: At a time when Liberal, Conservative and Indigenous leaders are making the case for Canada to Albertans, it is difficult to see how, and indeed if, Poilievre is equipped or politically inclined to offer a full-throated defence of national unity — particularly when fully half of his own Alberta voters wish to go their own way. To challenge them could sink him internally. Not to do it would once again turn him into political kryptonite to non-CPC voters, preventing any chance at growing his base enough to actually achieve a parliamentary majority…
