“It doesn’t seem implausible that over the next five years, there will be major changes [to jobs] that could have impacts on taxes,” says Arun Advani, director of the Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax).
“If there is even a 2pc chance of that happening, then it would seem really odd not to have planned for what we’re going to do because that is actually quite an extreme change in the economy.”…
