Wall Street Journal: Andrew Puzder, a former fast-food executive, is trying to build bridges with Europe at a time of deep trans-Atlantic tensions.
…Puzder is quick to support the president’s views, often in blunt terms. He called Trump’s tariff threat an “overdue enforcement” and accused the EU of dragging its feet on the trade agreement by taking too long to drop tariffs on U.S. industrial goods.
But Puzder has also urged cooperation on economic issues behind the scenes. Several EU officials said they found him to be constructive and engaged. And he hasn’t stoked controversy over hot-button cultural and political issues in Europe the way some of Trump’s other top diplomats have….
